The San Jose office for the Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD, Inc.) was proud to participate again this year in the Bay Area Walk Now event sponsored by Autism Speaks, a non-profit organization supporting families affected with Autism. This marked the 11th year that this walk has taken place in the city of San Jose, CA at History Park at Kelly Park.
My 4-year-old’s BFF, June, (who happens to be the daughter of my BFF) has a younger sister with autism. She recently started an ABA program with CARD and the family has therapists popping in and out of their house on a daily basis.
The Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD) is proud to present our BRAND NEW Assessment Center located in Woodland Hills, CA! At CARD we specialize in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA Therapy) to treat children with Autism Spectrum Disorders as well as other related disorders.
Earlier this month, the new Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) was released. This has been highly anticipated by the autism community because the diagnostic criteria for autism spectrum disorder has been changed. Many autism community members – especially those whose children are diagnosed with Asperger syndrome – have expressed concerns about whether their children could lose their diagnosis and, consequently, lose access to treatment.
In this episode, Jack Riley is working on having a calm body instead of a silly body.
We are proud to announce the opening of our new Woodland Hills Assessment Center. The center will provide assessments and consultations for children, adolescents, and young adults with a variety of disorders. The Open House will be held on Wednesday, May 22 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at 6330 Variel Ave., Suite 102 in Woodland Hills. It will provide families and professionals with an opportunity to meet one-on-one with the assessment team and tour the facility.
Longer days mean waking up to sunshine and birds singing. My children both love birds – watching birds, making bird sounds, pretending to fly, building nests with old Easter grass, etc. One of our favorite summertime activities is feeding the ducks at a local pond.
Tour our new treatment center. Meet our clinical and assessment team.
Childcare will be provided.
