Autism Research Group Offering FREE Parent Workshop

Come join Autism Research Group for a FREE parent workshop at CARD’s Thousand Oaks center-based location on Thursday, September 26th at 6pm as Executive Director, Dr. Jonathan Tarbox, PhD, BCBA-D, shares practical tips and strategies for how to approach your child’s misbehavior in a positive and effective way. Childcare will be provided for free by trained staff so bring the whole family!

Parenting is a tough job for anyone and parenting a child on the autism spectrum can present extra challenges. Dealing with misbehavior is one of the most frustrating aspects of parenting and it can be a major source of stress for both parents and children. This presentation will provide useful information on why children misbehave and what can be done about it. A positive and consistent approach to discipline will make your child behave better, will make you happier, and will help the whole family feel less stressed-out.

The mission of Autism Research Group is to use science to improve quality of life for people with autism spectrum disorders and the families who love them. ARG’s mission is to do research that matters to families and to share the results with the world, thereby helping more families to access effective treatment. A brighter tomorrow is possible for individuals with autism spectrum disorders and ARG is using science to make it happen. Visit for more information or contact Sara Sharaf at to RSVP for the event.
