New Autism Grant Program From Act Today

ACT Today! (Autism Care and Treatment Today!), a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide care and treatment to children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), has announced it will commit up to $100,000 in funding to underserved families in the Coachella Valley who are impacted by autism as part of the ACT Today!

CARD Launches Unique Program to Give Adults with Autism Greater Quality of Life

We’re launching the nation’s first-of-its-kind comprehensive treatment program for adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The CARD Adult Services program uses intensive, scientifically-proven applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy to place adults with ASD on the fast track to being functional in their daily lives, integrated into the community, and living their lives to their fullest potential.

We just started our Thankful List – something we do every November. This year we are putting feathers into a pinecone turkey with the things we are thankful for written on each feather. My 4 year-old’s first feather says, “I’m thankful for our thankful turkey,” and my 2 year old’s says, “I Superman!”

November 14th Continuing Education Seminar

In partnership with CARD, the Institute for Behavioral Training (IBT) is offering an option for autism professionals to get continuing education units (CE’s) . On November 11th IBT is hosting a live webinar for BCBA’s and BCABA’s entitled “Monsters on Board – Maximizing Practitioner Effectiveness with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)”. The webinar will last 2 and a half hours and will offer 3 credits with a cost of just $75!
