CARD is proud to announce the official opening of our CARD Massachusetts treatment center, located at 118 Long Pond Road, Suite 205, in Plymouth, Massachusetts! CARD Massachusetts provides a variety of services based on the scientifically proven, applied-behavior-analysis (ABA) approach. Services include center-based treatment, home therapy and supervision, parent training, and school shadowing. The grand opening will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2012 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The community is invited to meet the staff, tour the facility and review the state-of-the-art CARD curriculum. Refreshments and kid-friendly activities will be provided.
At two years of age, for learning to be effective for Jack Riley, it needs to be centered around play. To make every moment is a teaching moment, Jessica uses toys that are motivating for Jack Riley to incorporate into lessons they are working on.
The Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD) will host “Where Do I Go from Here?” a seminar for parents on Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm at the CARD Rochester office located at 6 North Main Street, Suite 110 in Fairport, New York. The seminar is presented by autism expert and behavior analyst Denise Rhine, MS Ed, BCBA. The free seminar is open to the entire community and benefits parents and caregivers of children from 0 to 5 years of age.
They drive her 400 miles per week, so that she can get a few hours of ABA services, and they are doing whatever they can to cobble together something resembling a full-time, intensive ABA program. They are retired – they are supposed to be traveling and playing golf.
