CARD Helps ACT Today! Raise a Quarter of a Million Dollars At 7th Annual Denim & Diamonds for Autism Fundraiser

ACT Today!’s (Autism Care and Treatment Today!) 7th Annual Denim & Diamonds for Autism fundraiser raised over $260,000 on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, California. Net proceeds from the star-studded event will help provide resources and grants to children with autism whose families cannot afford or access the necessary tools their children need to reach their highest potential, including grants for therapy, medical care, assistance dogs, assistive technology, basic safety equipment, tuition for special needs schools and social skills programs. More than 500 guests attended the fundraiser.

CARD’s 2nd Annual Toys For Tots Campaign

To start off the holiday season properly, the CARD San Juan Capistrano office hosted its annual Thanksgiving potluck with a special guest of honor, Sgt. Garrett Decker of the United States Marines. We filled ourselves with tasty treats and enjoyed each other’s company as we bonded over the many joys of working with a client base that is so special to all our hearts. Before we bid farewell, we gathered around, marine by our side, to take one of many pictures depicting our 2011 Toys for Tots journey.

2011 Annual Charity Golf Classic For Autism

This last Monday, ACT Today! hosted the 2011 Annual Charity Golf Classic to raise money and awareness for autism.This year’s event was hosted by Joe Mantegna (The Godfather Part III, Searching For Bobby Fischer, Forget Paris, Criminal Minds)who is the father of a daughter with autism. The event was filled with a wide-range of celebrities including Michael Reagan (Ronald Reagan’s son) to Jason Gedrick (Backdraft, The Last Don) all coming together to promote awareness for autism.

ACT Today!’s Premiere Fall Autism Fundraiser is Going to the Dogs

ACT Today! (Autism Care and Treatment Today!), a national non-profit organization headquartered in Tarzana, California and founded by CARD’s Executive Director Dr. Doreen Granpeesheh, plans to make its most highly talked about fundraiser, 6th Annual Denim & Diamonds for Autism, go to the dogs. Throughout the year, ACT Today! gets inundated with requests for assistance dogs from families of children with autism. The need has grown so great, that the premiere event, known for its glitz and glamour, celebrity support and corporate sponsors, will include a paddle auction, which will specifically raise funds for assistance dogs for 12 children with autism from around the country. Arizona Goldens LLC, a non-profit organization that places its dogs in the homes of children with special needs, will feature several of its Golden Retrievers at the event. The event, co-hosted by Dr. Doreen Granpeesheh and ACT Today!’s Executive Director Nancy Alspaugh-Jackson, will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the historic Ahmanson Ranch, located at 25345 Mureau Road, in Calabasas, California from 5pm to 11pm.
